Water & Sewer operating costs, including treatment charges and upgrades to both systems continue to rise each year. Also, major repairs will be needed at the sewer lift stations in the near future. An increase was made to our utility usage rates (both water and sewer) effective for 2022 4th quarter billing to cover operating, maintenance & capital for the utility systems. An increase to usage rates, and a tiered system to promote water conservation, was introduced in January of 2021. Prior to 2021, the usage rates for the water fund had not been increased since 2012.
