Lindström and the surrounding area offers many events & festivals, some of them the largest of their kind in the region, and even in the world.

Lindström Summer Events:

Karl Oskar Days

Our annual 5-day summer festival, Karl Oskar Days, takes place in early-mid July.  Celebrate our Swedish heritage and our modern-day community with a wide variety of events for both children and adults.  A statue of Karl Oskar and Kristina stands at the west entrance of the city as a tribute to the early Swedish immigrants whose descendants continue to populate the area.  Click HERE to learn more, and see the current events schedule.

Harmony in the Park

The Harmony in the Park summer concert series starts in early June and lasts through early-mid August.  It’s FREE to the public!  Enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere in our picturesque Lions Park.  Each week features a different theme, opening entertainment, and headliner band.

Lindström Fall Events:

Nature Party at Allemansrätt

Come enjoy nature with us!  This FREE family-friendly event at Allemansrätt Wilderness Park is hosted by The Friends of Allemansrätt and the Lindström Park Board.  Surround yourself in the beautiful fall colors, connect with the community, and have fun!  Games, food, projects, and more.  Occurs annually in mid-September, generally on a Sunday afternoon.  Click HERE for this year's event details.

Trick or Treat on Main Street

Come on out and celebrate Halloween with your favorite shops in downtown Lindström and beyond!  Local area businesses will be hosting kiddos and their grown ups for this annual Chisago Lakes Chamber event.  It is usually held from 4pm-6pm on the Friday before Halloween, but check the Chamber's Events Calendar page for this year's event details.

Small Business Saturday

Check off items on your holiday list by shopping local!  This annual holiday falls on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, a day after Black Friday, & two days before Cyber Monday.  Click HERE to learn more about sale events at downtown Lindström businesses.

Lindström Winter Events:

Lindström Holiday Craft Fair

The Annual Holiday Craft Fair helps support Lindström's Harmony in the Park summer concert series.  Join us for a fun day of shopping and community!   Enjoy a wide variety of local artisans, crafters, makers, and more. 

This event takes place on the first Saturday in December at City Hall's Community Center.  The local Boy Scout Pack is the exclusive food vendor, and the food sale proceeds go towards their troops.  Click HERE for more details or to register as a vendor.

Lindström Tree Lighting Festival

The Annual Lindström Tree Lighting Festival takes place in early December, in downtown Lindström's Memorial Park.  Events include Christmas music, pictures with Santa, hot beverages and a bonfire.  Full details for the current year's events are generally available by mid-November.  Click HERE for more details.

Lindström Park Board Polka Party

Kick up your heels at a good ol' fashioned polka party!  All skill levels welcomed- if you don't know how to polka, we'll teach you!  Fun for all ages.  Enjoy good food, German beer, and great company.  Click HERE for the current year's event flyer and information.

Celebration of the Lakes

Bundle up for the area's Celebration of the Lakes this February!  This long-standing Chisago Lakes Chamber event includes snowmobile radar runs and shows, Dodgeball Tournament, a candlelit hike in Lindström's Allemansrätt Wilderness Park, Medallion Hunt, Ice Fishing Contest, several indoor and online events, and more!  Events take place in Center City, Lindström and Chisago City.  Click HERE to search the Chamber's Events Calendar page for this year's event details.

Chisago Lakes Showcase

Formerly known as the Chisago Lakes Home & Business Expo.  Looking for fresh ideas for home improvement, saving energy, building, remodeling, landscaping health and finance?  This event helps people gather a multitude of ideas at one location.  Make a connection with area businesses, share ideas and get ready to take the next step.  Enjoy seminars and entertainment.  The event generally takes place in late February or March at the Wildcat Community Center at Chisago Lakes High School.  Click HERE for the current year's details on the Chisago Lakes Chamber website.
