Fire Hydrant Flushing & Street Sweeping Begins

Fire hydrant flushing and street sweeping began this week.
- Hydrant Flushing: City hydrants are flushed regularly to ensure they are in working order. You may experience low water pressure at this time, which should resume shortly after the process is finished. You may also experience “spitting” when you turn your water on, which is caused from air getting into the system. A slight discoloration of the water can occur as well. If you experience any of this, we suggest letting your water run for a short period of time to clear the pipes within your home.
- Street Sweeping: We ask that you do not park on the street while street sweeping is taking place. The sweeper is very slow moving so please keep a safe distance.
