Sept. 17, 2023 Nature Party Recap- It Was A Great Day!

What a beautiful day we had for the 5th Annual Nature Party at Allemansrätt Wilderness Park! (We had ordered great weather but weren't sure it would arrive with all the supply chain issues)  Around 150 people and 6 dogs came out to enjoy the park, hotdogs, marshmallows, games, prizes and company. 

We learned about the history of the park through the wonderful Anderson sisters, Lee and Julie, who grew up there and from our trivia game. We learned about keeping our storm drains and lakes clean through our water games. Learned about nature through our digital scavenger hunt. We got to roast our own marshmallows and hot dogs. One visitor brought the makings for s'mores to introduce them to his friend who had never had one, needless to say he LOVED it! We also celebrated a 40th anniversary with a great couple and their family, Congrats Tom and Gina! 

Thanks go to Kwik Trip for the hotdogs and buns, Ellie for the chips and prizes, to Rich, Julie, Lee, Kevin, Diane, Steve, Renee, Tony, Ellie, Jeff, Kurt and NHS members Dom and Nolan for their help with the party. It wouldn't have been such a success without you all!!!  Also thanks goes to Lindström Public Works for setting up and cleaning up for us!
