Water Quality Information

The city has two wells and a half million-gallon water tower that was built in 1991.  The tap water hardness is 100ppm (mg/l) or 5.8 Grains per Gallon, which classifies our water as “Moderately Hard” (see chart below).  Our water pH is 8.1.  Our water pressure is generally 50-60 PSI, however, it varies based upon location (see the map below the pH scale diagram).
